I was playing around with the Idea of an updated Porsche 356 speedster design and wondered if there is still an interest for such a kit.
I know that it is very difficult to update such a kit , and that is why I went for a retro design look on this car.
Will show my renderings very soon....

Let me know what you think

Already been done I'm afraid....have a look at:-

Made by a company called PGO and from what i remember uses a mid-mounted Peugeot engine. Seemed pretty rapid when i followed one around Zolder circuit last year

Nice looking speedster update !, but mine is slightly more modern than the PGO.
I did a google search on PGO and found that they were sued by Porsche on their design , but won their case against Porsche!.

I'll show my sketches

Nice! I think I prefer the coupe to the cabrio but can't work out why.

I was just wondering, if a modern speedster kit should have a mid engine configuration, just like the new PGO speedster....

Looks very nice. I'd consider having one - could you design it to have a roadster style roof, a removable hard top of some sort?

What we need, is an old speedster replica shell to play with, and we can start our new kit project..).
Maybe someone is available to have their car modified......

Why bother with a shell? dont think you'll find a lot of your design will fit in place. Might as well just pull a VW Beetle apart and shorten the chassis as per speedster, then build directly over it with foam/clay.

Do it as a panel kit for a boxter, plenty of damaged ones about.
All the right bits underneath, probably shed a bit of weight. Very nice
