So I have been checking their own statistics on their website for fixed cash machines. I mainly looked at the sites where statistics exist prior to installation and after installation. In nearly every case they made no difference to the KSI rate. In no case did the KSI rate drop significantly. In most cases the rate stayed about the same("reverting to the mean", or went up. Dewsbury Road cameras seem to be highly ineffective, not surprisingly if you have local knowledge. It's also noticeable that the figures have not been updated since 2004. Given the trend prior to that I'm not surprised. They do not look as good as the Gnome's Press release's make out.

Ah, west yorkshire camera partnership.

I have some correspondence with a fellow there now and again. I seem to get their newsletter!?

Lies and statistical warping seems their only talent. Safety seems the last thing on their mind considering some of the conversations I've had. Drunk drivers? Camera's. Stolen cars? Camera's. Icy roads? Camera's. Poor road surfaces? Camera's.

Next they'll be telling me camera's can slow people down and reduce accidents

Yes, but what does their balance sheet look like? - I'll wager the Cameras have been 'effective' in the only way that all cameras are

Did the newsletter mention the ASA ruling regarding against them after their blatantly misleading advertising?

www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/non_broadcast/Adjudication+Details.htm?Adjudication_id=40637

Strangely they claim to not being using it any more but it is still reported as being on the back of many buses!

A crooked business through and through. They'll do anything to maintain their income and non-jobs. Who else would employ people like that?

Not sure to be honest. The last one I got was at Christmas, saying drive slowly and safely or something equally misleading.
I think Phillipe Gwyenne has become fedup of talking to me now, and perhaps unsubscribed me. Then again my Hotmail may be auto detecting the newsletter as "junk" and binning it for me

Not been into Leeds much so haven't seen the busses. Take some time stamped photo's and lets get them in even more bother

The latest one is 'Take her out for a drive' with mangled girlfriend in car next to young man. Strap line reads 'slow down and save lives'

If only it were that straigh-forward.......
