"It's too cold to snow."

When people say "Thanking you" instead of plain Thanks or Thank you.

"Think outside the box" - what box?
Anything ending in -wise "It's going well, job-wise"
"Twenty-four-seven"
"I'm gutted" - that really is the most appallingly vulgar and clumsy expression ever invented.
"At the end of the day"

Heads Up

I really hate this expression so much. I'm all for free speech, but I would apply a net filter to block this c*nting phrase.

I heard someone on TV the other day who was apparently giving "250% effort". FFS!!

At the end of the day, I'm gutted that some people have put less than 110% effort into this thread. Despite the fact it's too cold to snow, you need to think outside the box to create your 24/7 Less-Is-More incentivising strategy, because it's always going to be in the last place you look.

Any questions, let's touch base. Thanking you, etc...

One that I don't hate, but which makes me smile, is:

"The bigger they are, the harder they fall"

innevitably uttered by some small guy, a millisecond before some big bloke knocks him out !

'You can't have your cake and eat it.'

Why would you want a cake that you can't eat? It defies logic.

it was Kevin Keegan who caused the massive effort inflation crisis when he demanded 1000% effort from England players, sending effort values into free fall before the market stabilised at the current 250% level

One of the guys who sits within earshot of me is the classic buzzword-bingo person. He's always using expressions like "lets draw a line in the sand" and other such Dilberts PHB-esque sayings.

Please, no more!

Whoever said that must have a hell of a lot of will power to have a cake and just sit and stare at it.
