Racing team goes up for sale
Le Mans winners sell everything
If you fancy racing at Le Mans -- and you have deep pockets -- then there's a race-winning team up for sale.
The entire business and assets of the race team which won the 2003 Le Mans 24 Hours Race and the 1996 British Touring Car Championship are up for sale. It's described as "a rare opportunity to acquire in a single deal everything required to run a modern motorsport team".
The package can include taking a new lease of a modern, 4,800 sq ft, two-storey building on the outskirts of Buckingham, right in the middle of the UK's "motorsport valley". Everything is included, from a modern, fully-equipped race trailer/office, support trucks, hospitality units with awnings, data logging towers, pit/garage walling and equipment, radios, computers, furniture, etc.
The premises were last used by Apex Motorsport, which won both the 1996 BTCC Drivers and Teams championships (Frank Biela; Audi A4) and the 2003 Le Mans 24H race (Guy Smith, Tom Kristensen and Dindo Capello; Bentley EXP Speed 8), as well as a long list of other successes in the UK and overseas.
But wouldnt it be nice!!
Hopefully it will be bought by someone who knows what their doing instead of waisting an opertunity like that!!!
Would be a shame if they never saw the track again.
