You'll have to take a photo of your first lens too!

Martin.

PS - it's a good idea to photograph everything you own for the insurance company if you ever get burgled. I've got three copies, I've got one, my brother has one and my mum has the other. That way you can prove you had x,y and z without reciepts.

I always take photos of any new camera with the old one too. Somewhere I have a 6x4" print of a D70 and a JPG of an F70

However you won't always want a DSLR round your neck so I'm sure the compact will still be useful.

So, what you're saying is, all I need is a couple of photos of a 1Ds-MkII and a nice selection of lenses...

Nowt wrong with the S50! I have an S70 as my main camera - OK, it's hardly pro quality but I don't think much can touch it for image quality / value / compactness!

In fact it always lives in my coat pocket - no point having an all-singing all-dancing camera if it's at home in the bag when you want to use it!

The s50s done well for me for a while now, its a great little camera. The only problem I've had is that its a little to big and heavy to be a "put in your pocket and forget about it" camera. So, the DSLR for photography, and maybe a new, very small compact camera for snaps...

Does that also mean that you, your brother and your mum all put in insurance claims without receipts for the same items
