Ink Cartridges Brand or unknown?
Discussion
Need some new ink for my Epson as I need 6 cartridges is it false economy to go for an unknown brand or is Epson ripping off?
For example 6 cartridges Epson from Cartridge Monkey £39.95 they also sell a 6 cartridge pack of a brand called Photoplus for £19.95

To be honest, you are kidding yourself if you want repeatable accurate colours by buying non-Epson ink. I have tried but it can vary too much from one cartridge to the next for my liking. If you are just printing the odd picture now and again you should be OK.
I now use www.printerbox.co.uk to order my Epson inks and am more than happy with their service (and prices)

I turned to compats on my old printer, started off with wild colour casts and progressed to excessive drying times on the paper before ending up at complete printer descruction
The destruction wasn't the compat carts fault though, that was me when I threw it off the desk!!!
the ink took so long to dry that the rollers picked it up and added to the image, it looked like an army of little tanks had been on excercise across the picture
Now my current printer only has genuine inks and my bank manager hates me for it!
@ £495 per Ltr it's getting scary
