My cousin is turning 12 soon and I am thinking about getting her a gift vouchure for some clothes.

Question is where do 12 year old girls normal shop for clothes now ?

Mk1, New Look, Etam.

Internationale, Bay Trading, Pilot possibly, though I would say they are probably a bit old

Do you have a big shopping centre near you? We have the metrocentre which actually has metrocentre vouchers and you can use them in most shops within the metrocentre.

Gift Vouchers !!!

Why not give her some of those vouchers that can be spent in any shop, you know, the ones we refer to as beer vouchers, they can be spent on clothes too you know

Each to their own, but IMO from what I've seen the majority of younger style clothes in New Look are tacky (and tarty). It is, however, very difficult finding clothes for this pre-teen age group - no problem up to age 10 but thereafter it's not so easy unless you're happy for your daughter to dress like older girls.

Next, Gap and M&S.

Not always tarty, and she'll get more in new look for her money than next, gap or M&S, kids tastes change very quicky too, so best to go for the cheap and cheerful option, as what is 'in' one minute will be 'out' the next

Ask if the local Shall station has some Optimax vouchers...

Or, how about Halfords tool section vouchers.

Either way, if she can't use them then you take the vouchers back and buy her an ice cream instead...

If she's fashionably anti-fashion like mine, then Quicksilver, just add water, freespirit or the like.

Designer range at Debenhams, fairly priced and 'cool' enough for her to wear out with her friends.
