After really enjoying playing Rome (and still am), I have got this strategy/RTS thingie bug.
I have just pre-ordered the above title from Play.com, as I can't seem to find a bad review of it anywhere, and I have always been very sceptical of Star Wars games. What do others think to this one, will it be as good as all the reviews say it is, or is it just hype?

Didn't know there were ANY reviews yet?

I did enjoy the Demo and was gonna pre order but then i realised if I bought it on release day I would have any time to play it

Just got GT Legends and Quake IV, and only scratched the surface on Civ IV. So I will wait for the reviews and maybe get it when I finish quake IV.

Cheers for the input I have wasted way too much dosh on hyped games before, and they just gather dust in my cupboards, so I'm VERY careful what I buy now, but this perticular Star Wars game is getting very good feedback from reviwers at the mo. (wouldn't mind an add-on for FEAR soon, too!)

Bought this at the weekend, it's a good game. The land-based battles are a bit crap to be honest, but the space battles are brilliant eg. you can watch the x-wings and tie fighters dogfighting

Not quite the game it could be, I was hoping it would be more like Total Annihilation where you build and fight simultaneously, but it's not bad at all.

I have it too, unfortunately, I have been way too spoilt with the perfection that is Rome-Total War, Empire at War is a good game, but I found myself playing Rome again after an hour, when the novelty of watching the space battles in film mode wore off.
