World record for rusting discs?
Discussion
So I'm washing my C4S on the weekend and am about to take it for a post wash run to dry the steel discs and the phone rings. A 20 minute phone conversation later and I get back to the car to find all 4 discs coated in a thick coating of rust. In 20 minutes - I couldn't believe it!
A hard run dragging the brakes later and the rust was gone but it is incredible how fast it comes after the discs get wet. Is this specific to Porsche or do all steel brake discs rust like this? Can't imagine how folks manage who leave their cars on the road in winter.
