The engine cover pull cable on my S1 has broken about 2" from the locking mechanism. Now I have a new cable waiting to go on,but can't see how to remove the inner nut from the pull handle end at the drivers door.
As the existing outer cable is ok ,I was wondering if I left it in place and just slid in the new inner and T pull handle.
Any advice appreciated.

Have a good search in the archives here and in SELOC mate - I know the solution to this has been posted before in detail. I think there's an access point somewhere... the answer's deffo in the archives if you search!

harsh but fair. I imagined on saturday that you had just told half the women in a nightclub that we were homosexual.

...and a penchant for exaggerating. It was probably only a quarter of them.
