Almost too good to be true? I'd be very tempted at that price if I could get rid of my own Exige quickly enough.

Seems there are a few 240 Cups beginning to appear on the used car market now. Why do people sell cars after just a few hundred miles (i.e. before they're even run in!) or is it some kind of dealer ruse?

Vs a new one it's a good deal for sure. Anyone considering buying a new S2 would be mad not to buy that!

A related question I have been asking myself - for similar money i.e. just under £40k, which is the one to go for out of a 240R (limited edition etc, etc), or a nearly new 240 Cup (slightly newer, traction control etc)?

Thoughts?

My thoughts are, the 240R for must have a origenal and the name and road 1 track 2
the 240 Cup more track related and a bit lighter? and track 1 and road 2

But I only sat in one but had no drive yet, so can't realy comment on that only for what I see and read about those cars...

If you are considering spending 40k on a Lotus you really must consider about trying out a Honda'd or Audi'd car (i.e. engine conversions). The power deliver of the normally aspirated 220bhp Honda cars is really something extraordinary, and from what I'm told, quicker than the 240R and Cup.

If it must be a factory car, personally I'd be wanting to test drive both before I made up my mind between 240R and the Cup. Pros and Cons of both.

45K good possible, because the link to the advertisment says the advertisement is withdrawn! but thats business...when a price is good, you have to react quikly...

if it was repaired properly, who gives a shit really? Buy it cheap, you'll sell it cheap. There's the risk it is bent though

Cat D is only body work damage, shouldnt effect resale much about 20% off book price.
