Me mate just had his 1st service on his Vantage popped round for a "spin" it was quicker than I thought it would be but got passed him no bother. He says he will now get shut of it and knowing him he will!

Having seen you and you're mate in Lytham and Knowing who he is I'll say he can afford to swap the car

Makes you wonder what he'll swap it for if he wants ultimate speed and luxury (thought the AM was the closest you'd get).

Could just blame the driver , rumour has it he's not that quick a road rider either.....

Come up and say hello I am in Zest quite a lot with my 14month old son be nice to have a coffee/chat.

Funny thing is he doesn't really get on with the Vantage yet I love it, on saying that just before he got it someone asked him what he was getting and he asked me what is was called and was it rear wheel drive!

He will not keep it long....shame.

Yeah Lytham in Lancashire I see from your profile you are from Kent??? If you are local to "our" Lytham would love to meet up for a coffee sometime and take a look at your Sag.

is 'passed' instead of 'past' and 'shut'instead of 'shot' a northern thing?

Yup passed was wrong but I say shut instead of shot so there. And oooop North we start our sentences with a capital letter and we would put a space after the word "shut"....smartarse

So much for lardy Astons: they couldn't even get past an old porker and we all know what true Trevors do with those: eat 'em for breakfast. May the power to weight ratio be with us

So my original post had no mistakes and Richb's was full of them and he's correcting me! Let's await for his reply................. In fairness I have a feeling "smartarse" is two words anyway!

I used to be a member at North Shore Golf Club in the late 80s and used to play footy for Blackpool in the Micky Walsh Paul Hart era. Got my 1st TVR from Martin Lilley in 75, who knows our paths might have crossed!

And I thought I'd just find a bunch of petrol heads on these forums.

What an erudite lot TVR owners are. Cant't wait to get mine, then I too might one day be able to use the Queen'd English correctly.

BTW What do we think of gratuitous use of the apostrophe?

Now you see you were doing so well until the whole golf thing :P

Hehe, yer a true Seasider then.. cracking Used to play for Blackpool Rangers as a lad in the local league, against Foxhall, Bispam, etc. so Im sure you must have played in the same league at some point. I think yer a tad older than me though ..about 20yrs older probably
If you kept in touch with the youth leagues though we might well have crossed paths, Id lay odds though that you probably know one member of the family in a randomly oblique way We get everywhere my lot do. Do you know old buggers like Quicky down at the factory?
