S1 magazine feature
Discussion
Hi all, time to plug Practicl classics as they are running a feature on my S1 rebuild. The Mag is due on the shelves on the 15th of Feb. I hope if you read it you find it interesting as I have no idea what they have written.
The Journalist came around in august so it has taken a while to appear.
The car has had a chassis rebuild, and the rest has been recomitioned/cleaned up so it is very much a work in progress car. I hope they took this into account when they wrote the feature.
Ill be on holiday next week so if you read it you will see it before me.
Thanks Mick.
yep , i'll buy a copy - it's quite a good magazine most months - always makes me smile when they feature restoration projects that were crap cars in 1963 and some loony spends 2000hrs of his life restoring it - but then i've done exactly the same thing several times in the past ............ at least you are restoring a car that was good in it's day !
Bought it this eve cos my woman likes the S's. Trying to keep the pot boiling for when she gets around to looking for another motor. Then spotted this thread. Well done, Mick.
They still end on a note of TVR unreliability, though, albeit in the final paragraph where you say it's been very reliable. Timeless shape the S and will take lots of engines.
