....when I inspect the wedges I´m interested in?
Grateful for all help I can get.
Is it even possible to get more value for money buying another TVR than a wedge?

Thanx....already read the guide. And been in touch with the Swedish club.
I´m aware of the chassis´ weaknesses and cracks/ signs of repair of the bodywork.
What about the V8? Here in Sweden there isn´t that many places to look for spare parts.
Properly looked after, is the machine more reliable than for instance the Essex V6 or even the Triumph straight six in TR5 and 6?

One word - outriggers !

390 onwards:
Where the steel plate meets the tube from the central chassis - look / prod / poke the chassis tubes behind this.

If there is a hole - then either walk away or negotiate a substancial discount (1k).

same as above but I've not seen one so you will need to look around the same area.

Outriggers on the series 1 and series 1.5 are not as expensive, a small section will cost £100-£200 to sort out, or you can do it yourself, as the sill covers are removeable, allowing easy access.

THe V8 is very reliable as long as it's kept oiled and watered. I like to change oil every 3000 miles.

Besides, you can get parts by mail order, there are lots of V8 specialists in the UK.

Go for it!

Thanks a lot. I´ll creep under the sills to find out.....
hopefully I´ll find a wedge which will fit my purse....
Here in Sweden they are not that common but I´ll give it a try.
