Any comments very much appreciated.

Used them a a few years ago, 6 of us went in a LandRover, so non-standard trip (6 in a car, non-standard vehicle size etc). They did a standard self-drive ferry tickets, camping pass package (camping Bleu)at a decent price, so was pleased with them as they accomodated us.

went last year, i thought it was okay, but the tents that we paid 30 quid for to rent were very sub standard, and the camping site itself is really far to walk to (pit straight i mean, obviously the porsche curves are 1 min walkaway)

its a lot more civilised than houx annexe, but looses a lot of the specialness that the houx has because of it.

the standard of the toilets/showers is very high though which i was impressed with!

the only dissappointing thing is that you can't just book the campsite, you have to have it as a package, which usually costs a lot more

We've got a small crowd of 12 with 5 cars (928, M5, GTM Spyder, Golf GTi, Evo VIII) booked into the Airtrack village.

We stayed there last year and while its not perfect you can walk to lots of the circuit without resorting to using a car (excellent idea when beer is/has been high on the agenda). The toilets and showers are generally pretty good compared with the other sites. Security is also good as its fenced and there's a 24 hour gatekeeper...

There was plenty of exotic machinery there too...

Looking at the website it looks like this year you can book the site only for £475 per plot (car and up to 4 people).

I thought the atmosphere was pretty good there last year - its what you make it I suppose.

Its not perfect and its not 5* but its a bit more civilised than the other sites.

If you want to book with them they still have space but when I tried to book early this week it meant quite a few phone calls before I got through to the right person because they were so busy, so I get the impression space is going fast....

That must be the biggest p!ss take so far, I'm in the wrong game. 475 for a ticket that probably cost 50 from the ACO plus the cost of a shiny porta bog and a couple of goons to watch over the cars. They must be living in the Bahamas the rest of the year.

By the way in case you didn't realise, all the camping tickets at LM are sold on a per car/plot basis, you can stuff as many people as you want in the said car.

I've used them in the past but when they expected me to pay £520 + entry tickets to bring my bike over, I stopped using them sharpish.

Their VIP campsite had reasonable showers, hot water and clean toilets. Not worth the premium, though.

We're going with AirTrack again this year. 10 of us in 5 cars. If you get one of the pitches near the bar area take steel tent pegs as you'll be hammering into what feels like solid granite.
It is a more expensive site and works out at £160 per person. Main advantage is the plentiful number of showers, clean loos and 24 hour security. Its no more than a 15 minute walk to the main grandstand and you can get in and out easily in your car.
Don't buy their beer or their food as its stupidly priced.

I checked with them re Monterey, Leguna Sec & Pebble Beach & the basic cost was 1400 pounds for 7 days plus a 400 single supplement. An absolute rip off!

Had my first experience of Le Mans last year. Four of us stayed with Air Track. Nice Showers, clean toilets not too far to walk to the track, although we spent much of our time on the go kart track roof and the Porsche Curves.

Cant really comment on staying anywhere else but I was thankful that i rarely had to que for the toilet and I didnt have to "pay as I went" like on some of the other sites.

Fumbling for a Euro Coin in the night whilst bursting for a p** is not my idea of fun.

Booked up with Airtrack again yesterday, roll on June........

Yep all booked here.

6 of us 4 blokes 2 ladies and hence the need for civilised toilets and showers.

Booked 2 plots and 1 parking space only, ferry from ferrybound.co.uk and all in it works out at £250 per person including entrance tickets. I personally didn't think that it was too bad considering we are going for over 5 days as well. Wed 0800 to Mon 1800.

we used airtrack last year and decided to stick with the same for this year .... ok, it may be a tad overpriced, but we enjoyed good facilities, security and generally a really good atmosphere .... very easy to get in/out for the many excursions, and many female inmates too .... we should have the same spot as last year, just before the shower block and on the left hand side (c/w simons' orange murcie).
cheers, d
