I wouldn't normally do this but I'm really REALLY stuck here.

Her 60th is next weekend and I'm drawing a total blank.

Is she into gardening at all? If so www.glut.co.uk is good.

What about taking or paying for her to have a meal out,a large Bouquet of flowers plus a piece of jewellery.

What about a pashmina in cashmere? Very luxurious.

Obviously, it depends on the lady, but I find most at that age like smart, luxurious things...

So simple and effective. I think nearly all mums would appreciate this.

I gave my mum a glider flight for her 60th. Dad got a Skid Pan session for his. Make her feel young not old!

Hot air balloon flights went down well too.

Health Club type weekend sounds good actually.

Anyone know good places in the North West?

Hey Neil, try Carden Park

They have great health/spa type facilities and is an ideal place for your mum, I'd have thought.

I've stayed there on a number of occasions, yell if you want to know more. Nice golf courses if that's relevant.

For my mums 60th (a few years ago now) i bought her a newspaper from the date she was born (1st march 19**) it came in a presentation pack and sleeve.
She was over the moon with it as it was something out of the ordinary and showed it to everyone at the party we had for her.
Sorry but i cant give you any info at the moment as to where to get hold of one but you may be able to do a search.
Glyn.

just done a search www.remember-when.co.uk

For my Mums's 60th (last december) I flew my mum and dad out to Dubai (where I work) for 4 nights in a deluxe hotel and had dinner in the burj al Arab amongst other things.

Not suprisingly I am seen as the best son in the world by my mum and all our friends and family.
