Of course.

Since moving to England I really miss having St Paddy's day off.

If the Irish can have St Paddys, the Welsh St Davids, us Scots St Andrews or Burns day off, then YES I support a St Georges day for the Anglos!!!
especially when (at last) we won at the rugby!!!

Yes it should, then my Mam and Dad would have their wedding anniversary off every year.

I have a Union Flag on one side of my wall and a St. george's Cross on the other side. They're bloody big too

No doubt it would be seen as another way of promoting racism or something equally offensive.

God forbid anyone flying the flag these days sadly.....

Wore a red rose for St G's day at work at Asda one year, and was asked by the store manager to remove it as it was causing offence.

I refused, he stood his ground, until I informed that if he forced me to remove it or take action against me, I would do the company for racial discrimination, funny that... he backed down then.

It might offend the ethnic minorites......

It was on the news the other day, that a school have taken hot cross buns off the lunch menu, as they don't want to offend some pupils.......

Yep pancakes, hot cross buns, hog roasts and flying the flag.

All now seen as offensive to some of our, erm 'guests'.

The problem is that taking offence at these things is inciting racism even further.

You could try a foreign flag, ideally from a middle eastern or third world country. No-one will dare tell you to take that down - for the same reason that the nice man Abul Hamza wasn't thrown into jail 7 years ago.

Yes, another BH would be nice, and for a proper reason.

(The flags thing was just media nonsense, it wasnt because they were St Georges flags on St Georges day, it was because only one flag of any kind is allowed under the planning laws. You can have lots of flags if you want, no problem at all, just apply and its a done deal, many of last years cases had the local councils saying just that too, and still the cnuts wouldnt apply, sheer bloodymindedness and pandering to the media created hysteria).
