It would seem to be Andy, did anyone else have a blue car with Insane Racing sticker on the back?

Yes it was the old No.6 with IIRC pictures courtesy of Ed Tilsley's camera...and no points for guessing who's car plays the staring role.

yeah, that's the boy wonder, known as AH to his friends, or is that just what everone mutters when he walks into a room ah!!)

This was a very well edited tape designed to boost the little fellows ego, so he could tell his mates that he kept that great Tuscan driver Racing Rod, Ex29 behind him for a lap, note the cut off point, just as my tyres are nicely up to temp, being new as opposed to the old crap he was running on, and just before I blasted past him so quickly the poor sod thought he had stopped

Greetings and salutations, fellow Tuscan drivers, ex Tuscan drivers and wannabe Tuscan drivers.

Yes, of course it was me, with young Meester Rodney in hot pursuit. It was the last race of the 2003 season - as I recall Meester Rodney had beached himself in race one (dodgy brakes), whislt yours truly had a front hub shear off entering the pit straight Hence our lowly grid positions for the race on the TV.

As the footage shows, I was fairly handy out of the corners but absolutely dreadful on the brakes, taking far too much speed off. In the lap after the footage finished Rodney passes me easily and ends up 9th (I think) having started 18th, It was very good darts indeed. from the veteran pilot Mind you, that was the last time he ever beat me....

On this occasion the footage was from my own camera, but Ed T transferred it onto the web. It has also appeared with a Japanese girl superimposed on it, doing her hair etc, to the Black Eyed Peas. Quite why someone would go to the effort to do that I just don't know...

Dear boy - as I recall our paths crossed again at Thruxton and Brands in 2004, with predictable results:snigger: But enough of the past...

Yes married life is fab

Saving pennies is not exactly compatible with building a new car, as I am discovering!

How is the new pork? I've not tried pork myself - more of a beef man. Mind you, beef avec aero - its getting quite pork-like, only with the engine in the correct position....

Point taken re the engine hanging out over the rear wheels, but they still manage to get a 50/50 balance to the car, amazing really, doing our first test next Friday should be interesting, Andy Britnall will know doubt be there to put us through our paces and give us a few tips like "Forget it boy's" or "Have you though of retiring" mind you he's probably a touch worried that we just might be there or there abouts by the end of the session

By the way, we have claimed the oldest driver pairing in British GT as we will have a combined age of 111, beating Fluxy and his co-driver by 1 year, Jan's remarkable for an 80 year old !!!
