Only posted on here a few times last year so another hello to everyone.

Thought some of you might find this a great idea, especially those turning up in the dark!!

two second tent

They only show the 2 berth version on the site but the sports store decathlon have roomy 3 berth versions in their store for only £45. Gonna pick one up for this years 24 hour after my old tent was destroyed in the mud and rain of the V Festival last year! They seem well built and at a bargain price too.

They do look great and are double skinned so shouldn't suffer from too much condensation.

Word of warning though if you're planning to share one...

We had one pitched next to us on a campsite in France last year - the young french couple in it had ummm...how shall I phrase this - "intimate relations" in it and the whole structure wobbled and moved so much that it was very obvious what they were up to and they had an audience!!

The young french girl didn't even smile when they ventured out of it!

You can buy the pop up tents alot more cheaply when you are in france. Just pull into one of the many Decathlon sports superstores you will see on the way!!

We had one of those in our convoy last year. Great until the heat got to it and it 'deflated'

There is no spec for the HH - ie the amount of water that an sit on the fabric before it leaks. Personally I'd not buy a tent that didn't state that - I approach it with the logic that if it was any good they would be stating this!!

You can get a decent branded tent for not significantly more than that and at least know that if we get a "wet one" it'll be likely to survive.

Nothing worse than being cold and wet INSIDE your tent!!

dont even go there, as rich said I had one.

Its great when you turn up and you literally throw your tent up and have abeer while everyone else is bumbling around. Not so funny 2 days later when the intense heat causes the supports to bend and the whole thing collapses in on itself.

its cheap for a reason.

I bringing a 4 man DIY job this year.

It would be OK for festivals but avoid for le mans

So buy this tent if you're lazy, don't plan on having 'intimate relations' and also don't mind not getting any sleep for most of the weekend!

Superb!!!

It's not that one I don't think but there was actually someone in houx annexe last year with a tent on top of their car, jeep or whatever vehicle it was! Kept meaning to take a picture but never did! Did anyone else see it or was maybe sleeping in it?
