As aluded to in my previous thread the Mazzer is going soon(ish)(don't really want to get rid of it)
Any suggestions for a replacement? Got to be 4 door and under 20K current thoughts are S8, RS4, 745LI, XJR, S55. Any further suggestions would be appreciated.

Quite an old one but still a nice car

1997-2000ish BMW 750il. About 10-20k, good looks, has a great V12 engine so performance is great, and you can pretend to beJames Bond!!!

you made any progress on your decision making on this?

I'd be interested in seeing where you go.

I still have a hankering for an RS6 - sometimes wonder if I maybe should have waited for one rather than getting my 3200GT

I'd vote S55.
HAving spent a fair bit of time in a 320Cdi S class I was very impressed - so the 55 should shift a bit.

Main thing to check on the 55 is how much power it's got, I think they changed the spec several times and early ones are pretty quick (350 odd bhp ?) then the later ones are somewhat more mental...

Yep, agree with that totally, but that comment was typical badge snobbery.Other than that it fits the criteria of the original post.

Holden is a bit bling for me. I think it will be S55 or 745.
Although not in a massive rush to get rid of the Mazzer. Good job had 2 calls from a potential buyer the other day and was stuck in a meeting and couldn't take them he didn't leave a number and has not rung back.

I am probably going to face the same dilemma for the same reasons... got caught out carrying live ammo on a training exercise! I am considering the same stuff, ie powerful exec type super-saloons. However I think I will also give the Scooby Legacy the once over when it comes to "Buggy -time."

Why not a Quatroporte? Four door & fast.

I have an RS4 in my fleet.
Good points = very fast, great grip, handling, ample room for dog, very forgiving - easy to drive, reliable, etc.
Bad = rubbish economy and small fuel tank.
(Good points clearly out weigh the bad!).
