Does anyone know of a good cheap approved servicing specialist.

I need a 27000 B service.

Cheers

By approved you mean you want a Lotus stamp ? In which case there are no cheap ones. There are enough specialists though who will do the job equally well or better.

Just had my Elise serviced A service + cambelt change, after reading posts on this site decided to use a local specialist. Managed to find one in Cranfield - Allon White, the service was fantastic had a genuine passion for sports cars, a much better experience than going to the main dealer in milton keynes (although the dealer in Amersham was excellent to), who shall remain nameless. Cost wise the servie was £450.00 inclusive of everything, MK main dealer was £850.00. Would thoroughly recommend them.

Hi Mark, I notice you live in Bedfordshire as I do so if your looking for a main dealer I would recommend Castle Lotus just over near Stanstead. Had a C service, cambelt change and new rear brake pads done on my S1 and even though I paid £800, which is more than going to a specialist, the service was excellent and the car feels even better now, if that is possible. The tech was great and I had a chat about tyre pressures, etc with him. He even spotted one of my hub bearings was making a very slight noise if you turned it by hand, never would have heard it myself over the engine noise , so they are going to sort this under warranty as a precaution (I bought the car from them and still have a month or so left on it).

Fibreglass in Arundel if you fancy a drive as well - may be worth weighing up cost of service v petrol, two tankfulls for a £100 saving is worth it, for example...

Really ?

Other places you might consider
www.sinclairebodyshop.co.uk/
www.plansmotorsport.com/
www.lakesideengineering.com (they are much better with cars than making websites)

I'd be surprised if you can find anybody to have a bad word to say about any of those three, or Miles @ Fibreglass

Yep, Miles is in the Service Book as an official Service Agent. Plus you get comedy banter/ranting for free.
