Does anyone know which way to turn the screw on the box under the rear tray of the centre console, to reduce the sensitivity of the Meta alarm on my 2000 Chim please?
It's getting set off by other cars that park alonside it, but only since the dealer adjusted it.
Don't want a 50 mile trip and time off work to take it back, must be a simple job, it only took him a few minutes

Suggest that you ring the dealer and ask him which way to twiddle it!

I think its anti clockwise. If you set it with the roof off and put your hand directly above the centre console and lower it. When it goes off about 18 inches above the centre console that's about right. We tried to make ours go off if anyone looks through the window but that ended in the blighter going off at 3am and we couldn't disarm it. Not much fun pi55ing around getting into the car and having to take the siren off at that time. Wrapped the siren in a blanket and it had died by the morning.
Then set it back as per the above - no problems since.

Thanks for the replies.
I have now adjusted the thing, thought this might be of use to others.
Removal of the cover in the sunglasses tray does not, on my 2000 Chim, get you there. You have to undo two screws, plus the two at the sides of the centre console at the front. You can now lift it up enough to get at the black box, fitted behind the handbrake. It's held down with Velcro, no surprises there, there is enough wire to lift it to one side.
The is a hole marked "adjustment", anti-clockwise to reduce sensitivity.
You cannot see anything to turn, but there is! Just very, very small. Use a small electrical screwdriver to turn it, only needs a fraction of a turn. Because you cannot see how much it has been turned, pop the cover off and then you can.
Hope this is usefull.
