OK folks, honesty time, what are you all using and what method really makes it sparkle! I have tried all sorts of cloths and solutions and I am never really happy with solution, and I have a few sratches too. I even have tried damp microfibre cloths etc. So if you have a method, share it with us all!

I used BMW's stuff (a paste in a small tube) that I had left over from my Roadster.

Worked great.

Just one of those lint free polishing cloths to clean and then a microfibre to polish up: it drys to a dust so it helps.

Mothers plastic polish

Much better than Rennovo, which I always found pretty good.

Cleared all the small scratches with one application.

I've found glass cleaners do more harm than good on the plastic.

Same as the other polishes.

Apply with a cotton polish cloth then buff off with a microfibre cloth.

Auto-Glym 'Fast Glass'. It's designed to be used on plastics as well. Quick and easy with excellent results.

Am sure that was true many years ago, but I'm sure also that most 'detergents' have been dilluted so much to avoid any lawsuits in case little Tommy has a rash appear on his arm due to drinking it, that it won't really harm a plastic rear screen, especially if the cloth used is spotlessly clean.

You're probably right.

I suppose for cleaning they are fine but for removing any scratches the polish is the answer.

All with a spotless cloth!

Since the Tam meet I have used the Mr Muscle for removing splatted bugs from the windscreen, and it is great for that.

Yes, it's excellent for the windscreen, have one tea towel for that and one for the rear (how sad!!!), truth is I always thought the rear screen cleaners were overpriced, over hyped wastes of money, howver, Chan did get some rear plastic screen cleaner for her MG, and it does seem to clear some of the slight scratches, so I may be a convert soon!

Maddog,

ditto what madbadger said about the mothers plastic polish, probably why it was rated best product plastic polish by classic and sport car magazine.
Great for tvrs too it can be used on headlight lense covers, the plastic side windows as in the t350 and sagaris.
Yep one application and with some lint free polishing cloths and the clarity was like new.
