For a trip through europe in may.

I am planning a high speed run through Germany. Stopping with some friends there and then maybe down to Italy for a day or two. The GF is going to meet me somewhere like Switzerland for the return trip. Was thinking of the Stelvio pass, that mega winding road you always see in the pictures. Anyone been there? or does anyone have any other suggestions.

By the way if you can get a pass you are welcome to ride along.

I've booked the ferries and am going down there at the end of June. I've read that Stelvio etc can be impassable until early June. This site is great for info on that area

Had a quick look at the site and so far FANTASTIC. I might be checking out a few of those roads.

Thanks very much.
