MOPAR question

I know, I know, nothing to do with Corvettes, but if anyone on this forum will know, you guys will (I hope!)

As far as I can see, it's a Dodge (Chrysler?) tuning devision. Is that right?
Is MOPAR an acronym?

Just one of those things I just need to know

Mopar was a shortened version of 'Motor Parts' that stuck IIRC

MOTOR PARTS

all Chrysler Group parts are badged Mopar, though some are performance others are bog standard, its nothing to do with a tuning division

its strange at a Mopar Weekend at Santapod, you will see just about anything running down the strip
