Don't want to worry you, but do you think you might have rubbed a bit too hard when you were cleaning the number plate? Seriously, nice job.

I don't see you on the list for SCH in May, looks like a contender for the concourse, how about it?

Looks nice

S3 with V8S bonnet or S4 bonnet - cannot quite see from the photo?

( AT least you've a garage to keep it all nice and shiny in - nothing worst that 3 hours polishing only to see it filthy the next day without even having had a drive)

Gazman - I intend to be there but haven't got round to sorting it out yet - I'll get on the case this week.

Its an S3c with an S4 bonnet which means about an inch or so of overhang on both sides of the bonnet.

As a lot of the S3c cars had this bonnet as standard surely it should be an S3c bonnet and not an S4 bonnet.... shouldn't be hanging over by an inch anywhere though .... mine doesn't ... unless they made yours with an extra skinny body for a laugh!!

You could say it seems a shame to clean it, given the nice drive and sunny weather on saturday, driving is what they are meant for IMHO . I normally have limited spare daylight time so when it comes to 'shall I clean it, drive it, clean it, drive it.............' I'm very much affraid that wins .
Nice clean car btw

Hmmm......Interesting. I had always just assumed that I had an S4 bonnet. Logic told me that a wider track on the S4 meant a wider bonnet and one had made its way onto my car.

The 'mis-alignment' is most pronounced where the bonnet meets the wings at the top of the front wheel arches. It overhangs and from the side looks like it simply needs adjusting, its only when you realise that it does the same thing on the other side too that it gets confusing. The pins line up perfectly and it shuts and stays shut with no problems.

I'll have to seek some more advice at SCH.

To be honest the thread title is a bit misleading - after I was done I went to 'get some petrol' and ended up doing a 30 mile round trip.

Looks fantastic. Same colour as my S4 BTW. Your rear window panel is much clearer than mine. Is yours new? If not, what do you use?
