Buying a 3R , five speed or six ?

Dear Noblemen,
I'm looking for a used 3R and have just been to see a very nice example with low milage that has got me very tempted,one issue I have is it is quite an early 3R and has the five speed box, what is the general opinion on the five v's six debate ?
Would I be better off waiting in order to find a six speed model, I'm unlikely to want to upgrade to more power but I'm a bit concerned about re-sale value if most people want the six speed 3R's ?
Would the factory give out any info on cars they have serviced to potential buyers (peace of mind and all that)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The 6 speed box was an option on early 3R models, although most people who speccd their cars chose the 6 speed option. Later, the 6 speed box became standard on all new 3R's.

The 6 speed box can handle more BHP than the early 5 speed, so worth cheking out a 6 speeder, and I guess residual value will be better on a 3R with 6 speed box.

6 Speed box also has LSD.

The 6 speed should also have the much stronger diff.
