Has anybody got an idea as to what the expected residuals of the 599GTB will be? Will it be a carbon copy of the 550/575 or is it considered to be much more desirable and therefore hold its price better?

I wouldn't imagine the residuals would be much better than the 575M.

There is obviously a few SuperAmericas knocking around and also the 612. Not to mention Continental GTs and DB9s which are in a similar price bracket.

Was there this amount of competition about when the 575M launched?

612 was trading at list and over for about 8 mths ....now they're getting the usual front engined V12 residual kicking . Early cars have lost £45k .

And the rest. A nice low mileage 612 went at auction for £99K last month.

612s are £170K+ options, so about £180K on average ?

Dealers are offering £115K or thereabouts for 2004/54 cars.
