£80k 993 TT

Amazing, even with the upgrades can't believe anyone would contemplate this price! Not much more and you could buy a proper GT2.

well yes its daft isnt it? and the rear engine cover seems to sport the logo "911 GT". my eyesight isnt too good but i wasnt aware of such a beast. having said that, with all the work done to suspension and engine really its a bespoke product isnt it? as such, its worth what someone is willing to pay. if they can get 80K good luck to 'em

You would have to be nuts to pay 80 grand for that, particularly as they are advertising it for 67,950 pounds
Errr that would be the silver car above it Paul !!
Original 993 GT2 Badged as 911 GT. 80K a bit steep but it does look the badgers nadgers..............If you can find me a real one for 80K my cheque book is ready and waiting !!

Completely off thread, that is one helluva picture on the poster's profile.
Nah just a lardy old tub that seriously needs a good workout....
Oh, I just went and checked.... I thought you were talking about a picture of the owner.....

I'd be surprised if they get anywhere near that price at sale - at the end of the day it is a 993tt that has been upgraded, and you never get your money back from the upgrading bit (sorry Derestrictor
).
So one top-notch 993tt @ £40kish, £25k of engine work @ £10k, £10k (?) of body kit @ £5k equals about £55k to someone who wants a fake? Of course, I could be talking out of my arse and someone will be willing to pay that much - good luck to 'em if they do.

Now getting "closer" to the realms of reality

Glenn, on the basis RSJ have a real '98 TT 'S up for 59,950.......I would think this should be 55-60k........A 993 TT does not sell for more unless it is a real Gt2...or the museum piece TT 'S that sold.....the value of the mods are effectively lost unless you can get someone who wants the care to effectively make a contribution towards them
Did many 993TT's leave the factory (or retrofitted) with GT2 bodykits? I have seen others but they tend to be 3rd party kits
It's a very nice looking car anyway and though I loathe non OE bodykitted 911's normally (including 996's with GT3 look), with RHD GT2's at £140k, this looks an ok buy for one of THE best car designs IMO. Importantly with the distinction that the Porsche factory carried out the work.
What's the rep of Bob Watson Engineering? IIRC, quite good.
