Drove the Gallardo at Millbrook today courtesy of Lambo London, both E-gear and manual versions, in the pouring rain. Not long in each car, 1 mile straight acceleration run which produced 160mph and a lot of spray, round the Alpine circuit and the high speed bowl.
What made the day interesting was begging for a drive with Valentino Balboni, the legendary Lamborghini test driver.
His Gallardo was minus a wing mirror (clipped a post) and a noisy front roll bar (he broke that too).
4 wheel slides, brutal acceleration and staggeringly (for the conditions) fast cornering. He loved it as much as I did....
He really does have the best job in the world.
