Chaps

Could anyone tell me the part number of the black rubber bit that sits on the door at the end of the window sill. It sits where leather meets GRP meets window, about a foot above the locking mechanism. Guess its there to finish off the look of the door.

Thanks in advance

David

P.S. do have a picture of what i'm talking about, but do i take it you need to have your own website to show pictures on these topics ?

Sorry but I can't help much, but I know what you are talking about, as they are missing on my car too! So I’d also like to know what they are called and where I can get them from and for how much! I seem to remember in a previous post I’ve seen, that when you get them you have to trim them and glue them onto the door with evostick or something.

Apparently TVR call them hood ears. TVR gatwick make them up for about £2.00.Phone the parts dept and they should be able to sort you out.

I'm not sure if the 'elephant ear' is the part we are after. The bit I want is the part that glues onto the door itself, not to the body, near the hood.

I had a similar problem, they're buggers to glue back on. I got replacements from tvrgear.com, they're pretty cheap.

Most people fix them back on with a self-tapper.

They can be purchased from TVR Gear tel: 01664 481065 They are different for each door. Part numbers are: LH Door TV0143, RH Door TV0144 cost £8.70 inc P&P for the pair (last May). Hope they are still in business, couldn't find their web site.

TVR Gear was part of TMS, who "retired" last year. Not sure if the new owner is keeping the TVR Gear operation going.
