Did anyone see the feature race yesterday? What were team GBR playing at? Why didn't they pit during any of the safety car periods?

You can't blame Robbie Kerr (pole on Saturday, 2nd in sprint race). It was a cock-up by the team.

The studio guests did blame Robbie Kerr. Kerr has done a good job; but it is time to let another driver have a go.

The Team were making the call for the mandatory tyre change. They were banking on a rain storm, that was close by,coming in. So that they could change to wets at the same time. A good gamble, but it didn't happen. Shame, the Brit team could do with a good result.

Wasn't it because he'd passed the point of no return (passed the pit entrance) by the time he knew what was going on?

I enjoyed the racing though, some proper point/slide and squirt going on.

There was a safety car on the first lap and another one at about half distance (lap 17).

Yes, I know.

The first lap safety car meant nobody could pit. Somebody tried but realised their error and came straight back out.

It was the 2nd safety car that cocked things up - its this one which R.Kerr came across quickly and just too late for him to be able to pit in time, as he'd passed the entrance to the pit lane.

Fortunately, positions 2 and 3 had more time to react, darted into the pits and the race was over for Kerr from this point onwards.

The Canadian car pit during the first safety car and went on to win the race.
