So thinking of getting a Tamora but dont know whether to go new or second hand. Id like a new one cos Id like to specify it myself, but having seen the prices of a few not too old ones they drop like a stone so maybe not such a bad move to buy second hand?
Anyone got any thoughts on this?

Haven't had the pleasure of either a new or used Tamora though for what it's worth the previously owned Tamora's that have come up through this site have looked great but have all had great reviews. NOt sure if it's still for sale but Flasher's car pictured on his profile:

It is a stunning car and has been a very well sorted car as Flasher has stated in several posts. So the short answer is if you can live with or fall in love with the colour combo of someone else then the previously owned route is well worth it IMHO of course !!

I was amased how much cheaper a 4 month old Tamora
was compared to a new one - when I got a finance
quote. Go to a dealer and see the difference.

The second you leave the showroom with the new car it immediately loses 17.5% (the unreclaimable VAT element) plus a lump for being secondhand. If the right colour and spec is available on a used car I know where I would be headed !!

TMS have got about five Tamora's for sale at the moment - chance they might have one that's in a colour scheme/spec that suits your taste.
(PS - I don't work for them)

Pete, you could also get new car from a dealer at a healthy discount.
They have to buy a regular stream of cars from TVR to keep their franchise and if they sit in the showroom for too long they'll be anxious to do a deal and drop the price.
My dealer does an 'introduce a friend' scheme so email me if decide to go down that path?
Cheers.... Andrew

I thought you would only introduce your worst enemy to that particular dealer? Or have things turned around with them now? I also thought that loss of franchise was a possibility? Any up to date news on this Andrew?
