Just got the first back today.
I've slightly recessed it back 2mm as when I did the first mock ups flush in fibreglass they didnt look right.
There just sitting in at present, but have allowed for a 3mm sealent bead, and have blacked out the first 10mm of the perimeter.
I don't think its worth doing to a road car as there's quite a bit of prep work to do once the old cowl's are off.

I like that, a good alternative to the 'Tuscan' light conversion. Are these standard late Chimaera covers, Griffith covers, or have you had some custom made?

When your on this side of the planet, most things are custom.Ironicaly I won't be using these now as i'm making a full front of section that won't have lights, but I thought I better finish what I started.

Hi Mark
I was thinking of you when I finished these.
Prep work would be.

Trim fibreglass to the top flap(used to silicone the original cowling) by 3mm vertically,5/7mm horizontaly.(you can cut of totaly but it will be ireversible to go back to original)

Cover/fill the fixing holes(as in pic above)and paint

Scribe fairing's to size(I would make slightly oversize for individual fitting)happy to make to size, but all care no responsibility!

You would need to scour the inner maybe min 8mm perimeter and the paint black(to allow for sealent overspill.

Fancy selling them to someone in dear old Blighty then, Chevtrev?

Interesting race engine you've got there too... it appears to be made out of wood

Yip,the body is on the mule chassis, made a mock up ply lsx engine on it so I would'nt have to take the body on and off on the finished rollying chassis for the body mods.
