I've recently upgraded from my laptop to a shiny new desktop and am hoping to get some cash for my laptop. Its only 18 months old and is in perfect working order. Anyone know of any good places to sell laptops?

I will be posting it onto the classifieds section here in the next few days.

Any advice appreciated as I'd rather get some cash for it than use it as a technologically advanced bookend.

Its a Sony Vaio PCG K215B
2.8GHz Celeron
15" TFT
128MB Video RAM
256 MB RAM
40 GB HDD
DVD-+RW

I'm not sure on what price to ask for it - it was £700 new.

I'll get an ad onto the classifieds asap.

Ad on classifieds now, but if anyone can suggest any retailers that purchase laptops to sell on that would be great as I'm an impatient bugger and would rather get shot of it quick than let it gather dust.

Thanks

Suspect around £100 on fleabay, or £50 to a dealer. Have a look at completed items on fleabay. May be interested, but look up the price yourself first...

If it was selling for around £200/250 (), I'd buy it off you, as I would have to buy a lot more ram for it......

Thanks - Have found the model above mine which has slightly more RAM and a 3.0GHZ Celeron that is going for over £400 at the moment on Ebay - will wait and see what happens. If I'm only going to get £50-£100 I may as well keep it and use it as a jukebox!

aaaah - I see what you did there!

Item is in the classifieds - I dont want to get in trouble for promoting the product and trying to sell it through the forum - just trying to get advice on alternative methods of selling it.

I know , It is coincidental that my wife is looking for a laptop, and with a memory upgrade, yours should be fine.
