Have just bought a Stepper Motor off Ebay and....

it is second hand when it was described as new, which is an issue in itself, however if I choose to keep it for an easy life there are a few blemishes on the rim of the dome shaped end bit - not the dome itself but the lip round the bottom.

Will this prevent it from working?

There is a set of rocker arms on ebay at the moment which are described as new, yet in the photo you can see the wear on the pads where they meet the valve stems.
