Dear Porkers,

a few weeks ago we sold the 996...as the 996 was my first Porsche experience, I really was very curious what the "old" 911 would drive like...As a matter of joke we started 3 weeks ago to visit 911's that were for sale. 2 weeks ago at a Porsche specialist 2 beautifull examples entered my heart: an '86 3.2 (Marine blue) and a '95 993 (Polar Silber)...I was really hesitating between the two but chose for the 3.2 as that's really a "classic" car. I just performed a small testdrive (really odd) but I'm sure that's what I want. Normally (if weather is ok) I'll pick it up this weekend.

the 3.2 is a 231 bhp without cat, half-leather seats, marine blue, aircon, 144000 km, lowered by 2 inches and provided by turbo 16" fuchs wheels, no turbo spoiler. I really has got that all-great-3.2-look I was fancying since a long time!

Interesting choice , my first 911 was a 3.2 Carrera Sport Coupe. I then in my head upgraded to a 993 C4 Coupe, but although the 993 was a great car it never really had the raw feeling of my first Porsche, so...........i've now got another 3.2 Carrera Sport Coupe.

You'll love it and people don't seem threatened by older 911's.

Enjoy

I really don't like threads like this, I've got a 993 and a big Healy for the classic feeling, if you carry on like this I'll have to sell them both and buy a 3.2, aghhh.

Just out of interest, what specialist was it?
My 993 Turbo is currently at a specialist for sale, however I'm seriously considering bring it over here (despite it being RHD) because I miss it so
Perhaps Dazren is right the Turbo and 4WD do suit the roads here in ze fazerlend better than the RS I was hoping for!

...it's a Belgian specialist in Lanaken, near the Dutch boarder, not far from Aken.

Brilliant! I've got a 1986 3.2 Targa Sport and out of all the cars I've had (see profile) it's probably the best. You get a lot less attitude from other drivers too! Enjoy.

(Also a lot quicker point to point than people think, had a few good hoons locally with Scoobies and 997s, never really been left for dead)

yes, I recently checked those acceleration figures and it seems a damned fast car for its age...I hope I'll enjoy it as much as possible:-)
