having trouble locating a new sender unit..tryed tvrcarparts but they only stock the wrong one for big wedges.they can be repaired but you have to send them off for 4 weeks and that leaves car off the road..anyone know if it was off another car or just made for the wedge

Can't you make up a blanking plate while you send it away - hylomar it in.

Take a spare can in the boot and use the trip odometer.

sounds like i might have to take your advice..does it come from a ford of some description? maybe granada

I would get some tin snips and make one out of some thin aly sheet. Have no idea even what the hole looks like, you might want to make a paper template to fit it first.

Have seen this question asked quite a few times but I have never seen an answer on this. If you can get it repaired I'd do it, it's going to take longer than 4 weeks to work out what's it's off. Even then it's probably been modified in some way.
