Could anyone tell me where the nearest place to get my S2 elise serviced, I live in Southampton. I've heard of a place in Arundle but have no details, Thanks.

Thirded. Top chap and probably half what you would pay at the other nearest franchised dealers.

Miles is a God. It's actually just the other side of Chichester. He'll take you to the nearest station (about 5 mins, Barnham) which I think is a direct route to Southampton.
He knows a lot about Lotus, plus he's quite a laugh.

Another for Miles
Quoted £320 by a Dealer for an 'A' Service, Miles did it for £120. Just hung around for the 2 hours it took, had a coffee and chat.
If there is something he doesnt know about Lotus, I dont think anyone has discovered it yet.

what's the thoughts about getting the service book stamped by a non lotus dealer? does sounds massively cheaper! Just had my 9k service at £350 or smth at westover!! Could have spent some of the extra on some mods i've been wanting to do instead

Miles is an Approved Lotus dealer for parts and the like and as a result your service book is stamped with a Lotus Stamp. It just gets better and better

Anyone buying an Elise (or any HP car for that mater) should know that specialist stamps are as good, if not better than a dealer. Also, anyone buying an Elise should also have done their homework wrt servicing etc. and already know what the recommendations are by word of mouth etc. I wouldn't think anything of it, but I would steer clear of a car that was stamped by a non dealer or non-specialist.

Sounds good, i'll bear him in mind for the next bit's I have done I guess for some stuff I would weigh up the convenience etc of Westovers Vs the price of Miles and see which is better at the time.

Train is on the Eastleigh line so stops along the Fareham - Eastleigh line including my home stop. If you need central Soton then change at Fareham or continue to Eastleigh and then back down...

I really dont see what there is to wiegh up. The only thing that Westovers may offer over and above Miles, is ease of getting there and a courtesy car. For a A service I saved £200. Thats about a weeks Car hire, and he only had it for 2 hours.

Another vote for Miles here. £400 for a B-service from dealer "X". I phone Miles up, he says "you don't need a B-service, and it will be about £100 for your A-service".

And I have, stil, a fully Lotus stamped service book.

The git didn't give me any tea though; and it was freezing cold!! He must like you more than he likes me! (something about his kettle breaking grumble grumble ).
