Can any one recommend decent oils for use in the T5 gear box and GKN differential?

I use Redline fully synth MTL in the box and its very smooth, very pleased there.I recently tried the Silkolene fully synth 75/90 GL5 spec, which was noticeably notchier,so went back to MTF.Redline also do a fully synth 75/90 but in GL4 spec, which i'll be trying next time.
In the diff(mines a BTR)i use redline heavy shockproof.I was told that this would be good for all the griff diffs,be it a GKN,Salisbury,or BTR.

Just out of interest where do you get it from, the selection in Halfords is a bit on the thin side...

No,the superlight is different stuff. The MTL(sorry i called it mtf the first time)is on page 283 of the 2006 catalogue, illustrated in the bottom right hand corner. It comes in US quart containers, this is just less than a litre, and you need two litres for the box.Diff oil comes in same quantaties, and you need 1.4 litres on the BTR diff,i think the Salisbury was similar quantity, but don't know about the GKN.

Hi,
I used mobil ATF 220 (as reommended) for T5, chose Valvoline LS90 (GL6 Spec) for GKN diff as the recommended mobil product does not actually specify that it is suitable for LSD's on the bottle. All running sweet.
