To Tabs: What are regulations for tag placement? I''m from US, our tags only have to be VISABLE from the outside, not necessarily mounted there. Place on dashboard/rear shelf, can cameras shoot them then? We do that to escape tags being removed, quite possible you could CLAIM same theft problem. John Robson might be able to answer this one. MOVING police vehicles are required to have their speedos calibrated EVERY month to verify they are still accurate, by an OUTSIDE source. Police radar operators MUST be certified to operate equipment (schooling), log books on start of shift must show calibration of radar units, by certified officer. If ANY of the above can not be proven, then case is dismissed,as faulty reading will occur. If none of the above requirements are not met, then radar unit can ONLY operate from a stationary location, ONLY after radar has been calibrated from a known accurate unit. This also must be logged down, if not, case dismissed. Using shadows from bridges/overpasses to time vehicles. Who measures distances and charts them as sun changes position? What about solar position? I assume that on cloudy days NO ONE gets any tickets-right? Just some thoughts from the "INTERSTATE COUNTRY", that does not have any curves(?)...this might apply-maybe not, but thought it was worth the shot.. very interesting reading about other drivers problems-yours just seems to be much larger thats all.....
