May seem a silly question but being down here in sunny Bournemouth thought I'd take the Cerbera over to the Island for a jaunt with the good lady herself. Anyone taken a TVR on the ferry? Any issues with getting on and off with the ramps/ground clearance etc or the hand brake, which we all know are great!! on the ferry if its rough?

Don't go on the top deck of Red Funnel's big ferries. I know Griffs and Cerberas don't fit up the ramp. Other than that, no problem.

The Downs Road has just been resurfaced and it is great. Fantastic view too.

I have been to the Island a few times in my TVR S2, the ferry at Southampton is no problem, tell the ticket inspector/ collector you have low ground clearance and cant go up on the top deck. Also a little bit of care whilst driving on wouldnt go amiss. As for the Island roads, I bottomed out 5 times on my last trip over there. The main roads are not to bad, but some of the minor roads are not tiv friendly, I pop over now and again as my family live there and my brother in law has an S2 so we have a good time driving round the Island, if you go hope you enjoy it.
