After we had put all of our company car drivers through the Drive and Survive course, and learnt that on a motorway in good conditions, you are probably OK to 90, 95 expect court, much more than 100 Oh dear etc, just had an interesting morning.

Three of us received NIP's for 82, 88 and 90 mph - all from the same mobile camera (very well hidden as none of us saw it) near Frodgham. No where near any roadworks, areas of poor visibility, rain, fog or anything what so ever that could contribute to bad driving conditions - including being mid morning, so not too much traffic. Serves us right for not sharing lifts I suppose, but we did all come from different parts of the country.

Excluding the we were all at work, so should be able to claim some of it arguement, are the enforced limits coming down?

Right - I'm off to the speeding survey to continue to dispence with the 2p's - after all, just lost £60!

82 on a clearish motorway seem a very heavy handed. You'll probably find they're part of a hypothecation scheme so any money fined go's straight to their coffers in a roundabout way. ie money, money money!!

Saw a speed trap on the M56 last week. White van on bridge with door open and officer using a laser. Not far from where M6 crosses the M56. It was almost off the bridge parked way to the side using trees to obscure. Gave him a smile and a wave as I passed by - sandwich in one hand , phone in the other - steering with my knees because it was raining (only joking).

Byt remember guys it's all in the name of safety. If they were wishing to collect money, they would be parked outside a school at home time, rather than over an empty motorway .

Quite, your're much less likely to get caught by plod exceeding the speed limit on a busy motorway, in fact you'll hardly ever see them try. But when you're driving on a safe, clear road - yep, there they are raking in the cash! Angry doesn't even come close to how I feel about their mealy-mouthed attitude. They must have had a bad time at some time in their life and want to get back somehow!
