Short gearbox in Exige S2 / Anyone know of a program that...
Discussion
Winter is definately taking its time with leaving down here in Switzerland, which I suppose excuses the amount of time I have thinking about all sorts of nifty upgrades for my car...
One of those upgrades I'm thinking about, is a shorter-gear ratio.
The ratio of the new gearbox would be;
1. 2,93 - 2. 2,17 - 3. 1,70 - 4. 1,36 - 5. 1,17 - 6. 0,91
The original Exige should be at:
1. 3,12 - 2. 2,05 - 3. 1,48 - 4. 1,17 - 5. 0,91 - 6. 0,82
Anyone know of a useful program outthere that can munch through those numbers and give a fairly representative answer as to at which speeds the gear changes would take place / and how the newer gear-ratio would affect the cars performance in acceleration?
I was pretty sure I found some reference to a program like that a few months ago, but just can't find it. If anyone has some advice, any answers would be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
*fingers crossed that Spring comes soon for everyone*
