Hi guys

This has nothing to do with me (I wish!)

The ad could have more detail for such a large price, but what a car!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FANTASTIC-MASER

Just noticed the seller is also selling a 430 Spider - bidding is at £250k! Is someone having a laugh?

I don't understand why its £250k, when you can go and buy a used one for £135k today. Strange.

£135K?? I doubt it. They are similar money to an Enzo.

That must be one cheap Enzo then

I think jokes on you dezza87. If you actually read the post by Ecurie he posts TWO ebay links. One indeed shows an F430 bidding at over 250k. That is indeed odd and worthy of note one would think. Certainly not worthy of being called an idiot by someone who is incapable of reading for themselves would you not agree!

Back on topic - anyone got any idea why the bidding on this is so high? Was it angelia jolie's naked thursday car or something?

And edited to add - MC12 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Check the bid history on the F430, same guy bidding against himself, then another later does the same thing, obviously some kids messing about.

The MC12 advert also says its Right Hand Drive, when the pictures clearly show its LHD, are they not all LHD ? You would have thought someone who owns one or someone who is selling one to know this.

Same on the 430, ad says its a rhd maserati when its a lhd Ferrari

hmmm seems they've got the photos mixed up then
hat would mean that the people bidding are perhaps doing so on the basis that they can never be asked to pay as the goods will ever be as advertised - i.e. the pic shows the wrong thing...

Just a thought!

Thats an eBay quirk, its because they dont show the intermediate automatic bid generated within your entered maximum. Looks like its the same guy bidding against himself but isnt.

There is no way this MC12 is worth this sort of money - you can pick them up new cheaper. Obviously dodgy bidding going on, as these will never be desireable as an Enzo.

Ecurie Ecosse - love the name. Is there a Scuderia Ecosse out there?

Northo, I think the MC12 is pretty good value - obviously the ebay car isn't serious, but these cars are moving for £400k ish and considering an Enzo is £550k realistically it looks like a bargain - rarer, same engine(ish) and you can take the targa roof off. Considering the interest I had when I had access to one for sale there is definitely demand for them!

Not as good value as a second hand Zonda though!

Not off the top of my head, but they are 'around' the £200 - £250k mark in the UK - well, that is what the Joe Macari, DK Eng and Romans/Hartley cars have generally gone for as far as I'm aware, and roughly what the Pagani dealer has cars up at. If you are seriously interested PM me and I'll see what may be available. I have a low mileage C12 available abroad but the owner wants too much for it compared to previously sold UK based cars, but I'm sure he would be open to discussion!

Just seen this.

No worries. I didnt look at the links, just saw the thread topic about a MC12 then saw your post about being able to pick one up for £135K. Didnt realise you were talking about the F430

I would happily sell my house if I could get a MC12 for £135K though
