Headlight Lens

Hi all

I'm trying to find a replacement headlight lens for my 1997 Chimaera. I've found the part number (Bosch 1305 604 027) but no-one seems to have any in stock. Anyone got any ideas?

Also, has something happened to tvrgear.com? I just get a website not configured message when I try to access the site.

I had to have one replaced, but had it supplied and fitted through a main dealer (Racing Green. They did not seem to have any difficulty getting one. The dealers would probably sell you one even if you did not want them to fit it. Have you tried giving your nearest one a call?

I've tried a dealer but with no success, I'll phone a few more on Monday. OUt of interest how much did racing green charge you for supply and fitting? (If you don't mind me asking!)

Can't really tell the total cost as I had a new starter motor and cigarette lighter fitted as well (the cigarette lighter broke and fell inside the door!) All I can tell is that the charge for the lens was £19 and £2 for a new gasket. So this should give you an idea if you intend to fit it yourself.

Also try the popular TVR bodyshops - Webbs etc - who may have a stockpile of second hand ones from cars that have had Cerbera-style conversions.

Just replaced one of mine, nearest Bosch dealer and charged me £16 for it.

Got one from Peninsula TVR in Exeter about 2 months ago for £22.50. Was a bit of a fiddle to fit. I'd do both if i was you as the new one looks much clearer than the other side now

Thanks for all your help with this chaps. I've now sourced one from Racing Green. £22.56 for the lens, £2.50 for the seal all inc vat.
