Hi

I tried to get the air conditioning in a 1990 944 filled today but we could not find the low pressure filling point. The high pressure point is near the left hand shock mount and was easily identified. Do you know where the low pressure filling point is?

Thanks

Thom

Near the compressor. The compressor is below the alternator and the car will have to be jacked up or the operator will have to lie down to reach the lower filler.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

Just to clarify, can the low pressure point be accessed without jacking the car up? The refill will be carried out outside the home of a refrigeration engineer, who does not normally deal with vehicles.

Thanks

Thom

You will at least have to lift the car with its emergency jack in order to turn the wheel to the left while it's in the air thus allowing for some access. Or best, take the wheel off.
As indicated in the manual make sure you use the central jacking point. DO NOT use the point right behind the front wing - it is not a jacking point.
