And what about earrings?
Discussion
My wife wants me to get an earring. Not something that's ever been high on my list of priorities, but I'm slowly coming round to the idea.
So what's the view on men with earrings?
Will it affect my prospects in a business where people generally wear suits but never look askance (as far as I can tell) when I can't be ar$ed with the jacket or tie bit - and many others dress fairly casually?
Will it look weird with short hair (no ponytail for me!)?

I got an earring years ago. I can still stick one in the hole (ooer) but now I never bother. Once its all healed up and you can wear one or not as you like.
Its no big deal - but there will always be a tiny spot that people can see and say - "Oh. You had an earring once."
You have to wear something really *small* if you have short hair.
I wouldn't bother if I were you...unless the Mrs is promising the earth!

Now vain I may be, but I'm not going to pass myself off as the Aston Martin of the human race
Don't think I like the sound of that!

Thanks for the comments ...
She's also on about tattoos, which I really don't fancy because of the permanence. At least with an earring it's (more or less) reversible if you go off the idea.
I also don't want to look like I'm trying to recapture my lost & (not very) mis-spent youth before I've lost it (so to speak). In other words, will it make go from looking like a reasonably youthful looking (so I'm told
) 32 into 52 trying to look like 22?
