Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N1

[shamone]

Had mine for just over a month, and think its awesome.

I've not been into photography a great deal before but since taking up my Visual Communication course I thought I'd make an investment and went for the DSC-N1 and haven't looked back since, just wish I had got into it earlier. ah well.

I haven't been able to load any samples as yet but just wondered if any one has had any experience with the model at all?

thoughts/opinions?

Sony's designers deserve an extra pat on the back though, its a be-yooty.

Have one at work.

I like that it's the first Sony camera I've seen that's easy to use. Image quality is good enough, better than the other Sony compact cameras, though not as good as a Lumix FX7/8/9 or an SD450. And both of those cameras are smaller and less expensive. I also haven't tested anything with noise yet, but I can't imagine that noise isn't an issue with 8MP on a P&S sensor. I could be wrong though. But in general I don't have a very favorable opinion of most Sony cameras (Exceptions being the R1, V1 and V3...). Just my $0.02.
