HELLO ALL, BEEN LOOKING IN FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS NOW DECIDED TO JOIN IN AND HOPEFULLY GET SOME HELP FROM YOU GUYS.

LOOKING FOR MY FIRST TVR, ORIGINALLY WAS LOOKING FOR A 400SE WEDGE BUT SAW A FEW AND WAS DIASPOINTED WITH CONDITION, SO NOW ALSO CONSIDERING A CHIMERA. WOULD SPEND £10K FOR A PROPER WEDGE AND £12K FOR A CHIMP.

WHAT DO YOU THINK GUYS?
DO YOU KNOW OF ANYTHING INTERESTING FOR SALE?

LOOK FORWARD TO MY FIRST REPLY

Welcome to the TVR-Land, lots of fun and great help as well.

BTW: Try not to use so many Capital letters, it looks like you are shouting.

Hello.

Good luck in your search. If this place can't help you find a TVR then you really are out of luck .

Hi Mac,
WELCOME
I was in the same boat myself about 2 months ago, Brought a Chimaera and haven't stopped smiling yet!
Go for it, you'll never look back (well only at most other cars on the road).
All the best.

Still grinning after 4 days and don't expect it to stop..

Most common reaction from friends/colleagues is along the likes of 'you bought what?'

Oddly enough, one or two that previously hadn't spoken to me much now do so - in the hope of a quick blast around.. The answer's no.. Well, aprt from maybe that new lass in the department..

Welcome aboard the good ship TVR addiction Mac.
Oh, and get a wedge - more noise and far rarer!

Andy 400se ( so no bias there then )

I might add that I have never had a bigger grin than a 400. OK I have never owned one of the newer cars but a nice sorted 400 for less than £10,000, can't go wrong. Get it checked out and the motor. I would say mine was in excellent nick when I bought it. I know of a couple that have just bought one after a search. They are there.

Howdy - have had too much red wine but would like to say that you shoud get down to your nearest TVRCC meeting and talk to the keepers of these beasts. Nothing like stroking the GRP to help you decide. Griff man myself but as long as it's got a TVR badge it's OK by me!

HHmm on the Red stuff ay, Im on the White stuff, getting my body accustomed slowely for Tomorrows Work do and then 10 days of alcohol abuse.

Welcome MAC5, Personally i dont think anything compares to the noise of a WEDGE and can only agree with everyone else about getting down to your local TVR/PH meet and Blagging a Ride with some owners.

All the Best

Tch Banane Jaune, don't you know white's for girls? (unless you're on the salmon of course)

'Personally i dont think anything compares to the noise of a WEDGE and can only agree with everyone else about getting down to your local TVR/PH meet and Blagging a Ride with some owners.'

The key to Noise is no cats - all Chimps (heh!) have cats fitted by law as they're 1993+. However, there's a bit of a design fault as they're prone to falling out during servicing. My eternal advice is 'Which one do you like the look of the most?' No doubt the wedge is more raw but I guess a Chimp can be roughed up a a bit! (not a nice precat Griff then Sir?)

Hi

For a few more pennies you could get a Griff. Best to do it now cos you'll only want one later
